Direct Select Accounts

A Direct Select Account (DSA) is an alternative investment platform that can be used by retirement plan participants who, given proper authorization by the Plan Sponsor, are allowed to establish "Self-Directed Brokerage Accounts."

DSA owners can direct their retirement plan money into the investments of their choice. DSA owners can purchase stocks, bonds or mutual funds that are not available in the core investment choices offered in the retirement plan

Internet-based account access and a secure trading platform provide Direct Select Account holders an easy method of individually managing their accounts. Direct Select allows easy on-line access to personalized account information, electronic report delivery and direct-to-market electronic trading via a secure Internet site.

Direct Select Account holders have the convenience to view their individual portfolios at any time, from anywhere. On-line account information includes a summary of the account and individual asset details with information regarding specific holdings including price and transaction history. All of the information is delivered electronically using a high-level graphical format. Links to market sites and security information are available.

No more waiting for confirmations, approvals or statements - your Direct Select Account information is at your fingertips. And finally, your periodic statement will be delivered electronically. DSA holders can print, save or download the information into individual portfolio tracking software to aid in measuring investment performance.

In addition, Direct Select Account holders can delegate investment responsibility to their broker or registered investment advisor, allowing them access to their account and all the features available via DSA, including on-line trade input and electronic reporting.
